How Pizza Bank Works

Lots of pizza from independent local pizzerias, with one rule: for every 7 you order, the pizzeria makes 1 more for its own neighborhood.

1

Tell us about the order

How many people, what day, where it is going, and anything we should know — allergies, how many vegetarians, how to get in the door. Email us and we will take it from there.

2

We match a pizzeria

We find an independent pizzeria near you, agree the price and timing with them, and send it over. Nothing is ordered until you say yes.

3

The 1-in-7 rule

For every 7 pizzas on your order, the pizzeria makes 1 more and gives it away in its own neighborhood. It is not money off your bill, and it does not come back to you.

4

Delivered, and given

Your pizza turns up when we said it would, and the extra ones go out around the neighborhood. You pay the pizzeria for what you ordered.

Why Pizza Bank

Giving built in

It is not a campaign or a fundraiser you have to opt into. It just happens every time you order.

Independent pizzerias

We work with independent pizzerias, not the big chains. The money and the pizza both stay local.

One contact

You talk to one person here. We do the back and forth with the pizzeria.

Where the program stands

Pizza Bank is launching in the DC metro. We are onboarding pizzerias now; orders are coordinated by email and confirmed by hand. There is no online checkout, no app, and no account you need to create.

When the first pizzerias are onboarded they will appear on the participating pizzerias page — only with their agreement.
